Details –

The car was purchased in 1999 and taken completely apart to the frame and fully restored over a 2 year period.  A new out of the crate ‎5.7L LS1 V8 engine was installed during the rebuild.  It has approximately 5,000 miles since the rebuild and sat inside a garage in East Texas.

The Corvette has the following, a 4-Speed automatic transmission, independent suspension, front and rear, power steering and power brakes, flush-mounted, retractable headlights, removable roof panels, and full instrumentation, including speedometer, tachometer, water temperature gage, voltmeter, oil pressure gage, and trip odometer.

Kids’ Christmas Party


Please join us for the annual KC700 Children’s Christmas Party. It will held from 3-5 PM on Sunday Dec 11th, at the KC Club, 10110 Shoreview Dr, Dallas, TX

· We will have Santa Claus and Ms Claus handing out Christmas gifts

· We will have our favorite balloon clown, Bender, making balloons for the kids

· Lots of crafts such as decorating cookies and making ornaments

· And food for you and the children.

· And we have our Christmas DJ on hand to add Christmas music for the kids

GempelIn Memory of John “Jack” Collins Gempel

June 2, 1927 – October 12, 2015
Jack Gempel was born in Highland Park, Michigan on June 2, 1927, and died in Dallas on October 12. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen; three children: John, Jr., (Karen), Peggy Clayton (Brit), Mary Ann Williams (Tom); eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jack’s career highlights include designing some of Detroit’s most iconic automobiles, but he would undoubtedly prefer to be remembered as an exemplary husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather-which he was .Jack worked as an automotive stylist for Chrysler Corporation from 1950-65, as Head of Design & Engineering for Chrysler Boat Corporation (Plano, TX) from 1965-81, and as an industrial designer after his retirement from Chrysler in 1981.Services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd., Dallas 75238, on Monday, October 19: Rosary at 10:30, Mass at 11:00, with a reception following. Jack asked that memorials be made to the Knights of Columbus Chapter 799, 10110 Shoreview Rd., Dallas, TX 75238

Get your Pictures! (Family Pictures and Member picture for Pictorial Directory)

LifeTouch will take your family photo in time for you to get fall/Christmas photos made.  At the same time you can also have your Member picture taken, which will be used for our Council pictorial directory.  Everyone who takes a family photo will be elligible for a free pictorial directory next spring/summer.

I’d really like to encourage all members to participate in this project.  You can have your photo session any time from 2pm to 9pm on M, Wed, Thur, or Friday (November 2, 4-6) or 9:30am to 5:00pm on Saturday, November 7.   Below is the link to sign up for a photo session:


St. Pius X Oktoberfest – This weekend

St. Pius X is having the Oktoberfest this weekend.   Come enjoy some food, entertainment, games, inflatables, and carnival rides.  Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.   Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 11:00am-5:00pm.

Dunking Booth, anyone?

Hello Knights of 799!  St. Patrick’s School has asked for your help to make their dunking booth at the St. Patrick HarvestFest the best dunking experience ever! Please consider signing up for a 10-15 minute session in the dunking booth Saturday, 10/17/15.

Maybe get a buddy to sign up for back to back sessions with you so you can take turns heckling the crowd! We will provide a private changing area where you can also store your dry clothes as well as a clean towel to use.  We will also buy you a burger the day of from our food vendor, Burger House!
