July 4th Celebration!

Proceeds for the KC799 Charity Fund.

Please join the Knights of Columbus Dallas Council 799 on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in celebrating Independence Day at the KayCee Pool.  This party is one of our largest fundraising events for the year.  It is a great time to get together with Knights, families, friends, and neighbors.  All are invited to have some fun and generate some charity dollars that will be used throughout the year.

Here are some highlights of the event:

Raffle!. 5 – $1,000 Amazon gift cards

Silent Auction! Inside the comfort of air conditioning, we will hold our silent auction from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Prizes will include guitar signed by Duran Duran, sports tickets, restaurant gift cards, etc.

Live Auction! Once again this year, we will host a live auction.  Great prizes include KayCee Club pool memberships, Swim Pool Party for 25, reserved parking for pool season, etc.

Music, Food, Fun, and Games inside! Come enjoy the music inside the upper hall.  Catholic Daughters will run a wine pull, cake wheel. We’ll also have some fun games and activities inside.  Plated lunch (Chicken Dinner) will be available for purchase from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Swimming!  The swimming pool will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Cantina is open, as well as burgers, hot dogs, and brats in the grill team area.

Bingo! The 4th Degree will host a bingo from 12 -4 in the upper hall.

4 pm – Raffle Drawings (Outside near pool)

5 pm – Live Auction (Outside)

  2. Volunteer for a couple of hours.

“FEARLESS”: Free Movie (please RSVP)

FEARLESS follows the journey of veteran documentarian Maura Smith as she seeks to discover who in the Catholic church is what Pope Francis describes as “fearlessly open to the working of the Holy Spirit” in his encyclical Evangelii Gaudium. 

Expert commentary is given by two theologians, Dr. Mary Healey and Dr. Ralph who sit on the Pontifical Bible Commission and the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization.

Funeral Arrangements – John H Stuart:

On Thursday, December 15th, John H. Stuart faithfully departed this world and gained eternal rest. He is survived by his wife Jean, sons Mark, John, and Mike, and was preceded in death by his son, Kirk.

The funeral services will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 21st: Rosary at 1:00, followed by Mass at 1:30pm. Reception in Parish Center after Mass. Please pray for the repose of John’s soul and peace for all those that mourn his passing.

Prayer for the Deceased:

Almighty Father, source of forgiveness and salvation, grant that our relatives and friends who have passed from this life may, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all the saints, come to share your Eternal happiness

through Christ our Lord. Amen

Eternal Rest, grant to them, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

May the Lord bless us, may he keep us from evil and bring us to life everlasting. Amen
