Blood Drive Benefiting Nathan Vitek

The Knights Of Columbus Council 799 is hosting Carter BloodCare for a Blood Drive. We have reserved capacity for 80 donors and have been told they can accommodate many more if necessary. Our pre-registrations are slowly coming in, but we would love to get many more registrations. The blood drive will be at the KC Hall, 10110 Shoreview, Dallas.

The pre-registration will ask you for your personal information and you will choose a time, type of blood donation. You can ask for a reminder, make a comment, etc. Then be sure and “SAVE” your appointment.
Walk-ins are welcome, but we are requesting every interested Knight to pre-register on the Carter Bloodcare website to reserve space. Current registrations are low and we have a lot of open time spots to fill. If you can, please register soon!
If you cannot register, we still encourage you to come and donate blood. The process is very fast and much appreciated.
Please have a good meal and drink plenty of fluids before your donation.

Memorial for Mrs. Pat West

Mrs. Pat West was a longtime office manager at KC799 before her retirement a few years ago. We will miss her. A memorial will be held on

at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia Road, Dallas, TX.

KC799 Celebrates the Fourth of July – Rain or Shine

Attend the premier Independence Day event at KC 799! Sunday July 4, 2010. Noon to 8pm.
Food and Fun for the whole family.
This year’s chairman, Jim Hale (jameshale@gmail.com or 214-392-3230), reminds everyone that all of the net revenue goes to CHARITY through KC 799′s Charity Fund. To be truly successful, all of the events require the help of our members’ wives.
Great Food – Enjoy a tasty home‐fried chicken dinner w/ trimmings, bingo games, cakewalk, pool open (weather permitting) starting at 11am. Food available at the grill poolside, in the main hall or at the Cantina too. Bingo & Auction from 1PM to 5:30PM.
Silent Auction – Bid on fantastic items. Concert tickets, designer items, gift cards to a favorite restaurant, something for him or her, a chance to move up in line for the pool. Many items new or gently used.
Raffle Drawing! Don’t miss your shot—get your chance to win either the grand prize of $1,000 or other prizes worth $300, $200 & $100. Final drawing held at 6pm.
Cake Wheel – Run by the Catholic Daughters & needs a continuous inventory. If you’ll be gone on the 4th, please contact a friend for their delivery of your goodies on July 3rd or 4th. Otherwise, pies, cakes, cookies, or candies will be accepted all day on the 4th, starting about 9:30.
Bingo Please come out to enjoy the many game varieties.
Cantina and Lounge (open all day) For bar service, we card for age and wrist band is needed for all (TABC requirement).
