New Member Orientation

Consider contacting a friend or acquaintance about the possibility of joining our order.

An information and orientation meeting to be held on Monday, April 5, at our Council Hall.

A First Degree Ceremonial is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13.

Qualifications for membership are that you are male, over 18 years of age, and a practical Catholic.

Form 100’s will be available at the meeting.

The meeting will begin at 6:30, and will last approximately 40 minutes.

The history, activities, and responsibilities of being a Knight are presented.

There will be ample time for Q & A.

At the conclusion, a short tour of the facilities is offered.

Second Annual Diocesan Corporate Communion

At 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 27, 2010, Knights and their families from around the Diocese will gather at the Cathedral Shrine of the
Virgin of Guadalupe for the Second Annual Diocesan Corporate Communion.  Bishop Kevin Farrell will preside at the Mass, which will be followed
by a reception (catered by our own Chef Oliver) in the Grand Salon that adjoins the Cathedral.

All members of Council 799 are encouraged to attend.

KC 799 Kids’ Easter Party

Come one, come all to the kids’ Easter party on Sunday March 28 at 3:30 at the KC Hall. There will be an Easter egg hunt, balloon animals, cookie decorating, and a special activity from the St. Patrick’s Mothers Club. The party has been a big success in previous years and promises to be an even bigger success this year. Weather permitting, all activities will be outside!

By the way, the KC 799 newsletter reported the start time as 3:00—this is incorrect. We look forward to seeing everyone at 3:30.

St. Patrick’s Day celebration!

Council 799 is again hosting its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Join us for an evening of good times with good friends. This a great opportunity to get to know our new brothers or to renew friendship with brothers that we haven’t seen in a while. We will be serving up free corned beef and cabbage and, as always, will have plenty of cool refreshments in the lounge. Doors open at 5:00 on Wednesday the 17th and we will be serving dinner until around 8:00. This is also a great opportunity to invite a friend from your parish to come meet our council – we always try to welcome new members.

Council 799 Charity Golf Tournament

Your Dallas Council 799 is sponsoring it’s first Annual Golf Tournament at Keeton Park on May 15.

It will be a 4-man scramble format, and the entry fee is only $60. (Green fees, cart, range balls, and prizes)

The registration form is available at this website, at the general meeting on April 6, or at the KayCee Club Lounge.

Space is limited, so complete the form, and return it with your payment (Payable to Knights of Columbus).

IT Group Call For Volunteers

We will be having our first meeting in a couple of weeks to discuss the purpose of the group and the types of projects we can expect to see.
